Keep in mind this application is new, and the plant database and application features will be augmented frequently.

I love the app think everything needs photos fer easyier id (I’m a tad nuts bout my herb garden and find into extreamly usefull knew something outside could be used fer cuts like aloe inside didn’t know it was the Rosemary tho) my major complaint ATM is that opening the info fer fireweed on my touch causes the app to crash
I just downloaded this app, and I am unable to see any pictures. Every time I try, I get a “you need to download the latest full sized image”.
After syncing, there are still no photos. Please help.
Thanks
I had a problem with it, but the new version should have fixed the problems, try doing a sync again with the latest version, if it doesn’t work let me know.
Patch should have address it.
Is it available for iphone 3.0 ?
Yes it should work just fine.
Me agin lol now it seems all the medicinal uses are missing I KNOW aloe and basil both have quite a list to them peas fix asap loved the app I use more during the season
I was wondering if you will have photo’s accompanying every plant you have in the app and every plant you plan to add in the database. The app would not be as useful if you have documentation on the plant and no pictures because if you are out in the world or camping and you come across something that isn’t shown on your app, only describes the plant, you never know what you are picking, eating, or touching. If there will be photo’s for every plant, then I will definitely purchase this app.
I’ve been adding more photos over time.. some photos are not available, at least, I’m not certain its accurate, but there will be more photos added in the months ahead until all plants listed have photos. The application lacks the taxonomy in sufficient detail to identify every plant in our database. The applications primary purpose is to list the attributes and applications for plants, not nessasarily for the purpose of identification. However, improvements to the app and data are made often, and new plants are added, and yes, even new and updated photos.
App is a bit frustrating. Most of the pictures you do have don’t download (I made it to garlic. Beyond that, nothing). I have tried to sync multiple times and all I have to show for it is a raised 4 next to the apps icon. Two things would be nice: a physical description of the plant and it’s habitat for those of us who never studied botany; and a blurb on how to make a tea, tincture, etc for those of us who never took practical chemistry. The photos of flowers are nice but it’s the flower-leaf combination that identifies the plant.
I’m working on an update with more content. Make sure you have the latest version from iTunes. This app is still being supported, and will see improvements, thanks for suggestions.
hi guys, I downloaded the app yesterday. it asked me to update on the wi-fi, but then it ceased to work!
do you think i should try downloading again, or..?
thank you
anna
i love the app, but how can i remove the little red circle with the number ’7′ that appears over the corner of the icon for the application?
thanks,
david
Thanks. Its a bug.. you might be able to uninstall it from your device, then reinstall it, but not sure that would work. I’ll have an update in the next week or two that will reset the badge counter (as you see it as a 7).
I like the app very much, but none of the available pictures show on my itouch device. Please help!!!
All photos or just some?
When can we expect the android or win 7 version of this application?
Almost purchased the app, but will wait for one that is iPad gangster. Yea I know but they look pixelated and not so pure.
my version wont open after sitting for a few months over the winter. i am using an itouch. i will be happy to download again but not happy about buying the app again, thanks!!
An android version is in the works, might be a couple months.
Yup, an iPad version is in the works also.
Sorry. I’m not aware of any problems with iPod Touch. Maybe a re-install of iPlant would help?
any word on an update that will reset the badge counter?
Yes, a version 2 is coming with a fix and some great new features, August it will come out.
This app does not explain why I have a “5″ on it’s icon. The return arrow pictured on the screen above is not on my phone. I trashed the app and reinstalled it from iTunes and the same thing is still happening.
8/1/2011 Your “Bug” is still bugging me. Didn’t see any update. I have reinstalled it also.
The back button doesn’t show up either. Nit on my iPhone or iPad.
Jan 24th “Thanks. Its a bug.. you might be able to uninstall it from your device, then reinstall it, but not sure that would work. I’ll have an update in the next week or two that will reset the badge counter (as you see it as a 5)).
What is badge counter? There is no reference to what it is referring to.
All, the current version doesn’t remove the badge counter (the icon out side the app). I know its a major PITA… it will get cleaned up on the new version, its nearly finished, just testing. Sorry for the delay I’m been pretty busy.
